Here’s a first look at the new Mini GibbyGop. This is the 3D printed prototype. He’s about 3.5″ tall. Were not sure what colors to make him yet so if you have any preferences, please comment!
I took this 3D group shot before I left for D-Con. You need the red/blue glasses to see it correctly.
Almost finished with the online shop! Thanks for all the interest!! I’ll also be setting up an email list to get info on upcoming projects and stuff.
Below are some behind the scenes pics of the D-Con GibbyGops before I did the final paint jobs on them.
These photos courtesy of Sketchbot Studios! Here’s another shot of all the GibbyGop Customs that were available at DesignerCon 2011.
Thanks again to all that purchased one of them!!
Here are 6 GibbyGops I did for Designer-Con this Saturday.
Here’s the gang before painting:
Here’s a few Pops! Pop is GibbyGop’s balloon.
Fresh out of the mold and still warm!!
The gang is gathering.
All sanded and ready for painting.
I got featured in a very cool post on Spanky Stokes vinyl blog today!!
Here are some of the pics he took while I was at NYCC last week.
I did a quick weathering job last night to bring to NYCC. Not sure of the final paint scheme and graphics yet.
Got a few figures cast up this weekend and got the posters finished!
Here is what GibbyGop started as. A big glob of wax.
Here’s GibbyGop after a lot of sculpting.
Here’s where clay is added around the final sculpt to make half of the silicone mold.
Here’s both sides of the final silicone mold.
Here’s the arms and mini balloon who’s name is Pop.
Here are pics of the Wax Sculpt. It was sculpted by Gabriel Marquez. I’ll be making some resin ones to bring to NYCC. MPH will have it on display at their booth. The arms will be articulated and the figure is about 4.5″ tall. These won’t be mass produced and will probably be release as hand painted customs or in small hand painted colorways.
This Character is called GibbyGop. He’s one of the creatures in my GOPS Series which currently has about a dozen characters.
